Ever since I can remember I've made things with my hands. It’s as if must work with my hands or I don’t exist. I tried pottery, painting, weaving, and sculpting, but there is something uniquely exciting and intimate about making something to be worn on a living body instead of hung on a wall. There is nothing more satisfying than taking raw material and transforming it into something useful or beautiful. The bonus is it is displayed on a living, moving, changing being. What a compliment and a joy to be part of so many vibrant lives! I hope to continue working with my hands until they cease to function! Patricia has just gotten second place in the 2007 Saul Bell awards! This is an international competition, one of the most prestigious in the jewelry industry. Congratulations, Tricia!
